After working in the media industry for over twenty years, I decided to start a new career embracing my skills, passions and the reality of living with OHID (Obsessive Home Improvement Disorder).
In 2013, I partnered with my friend Fredi Prevost to launch Boutiqae Group. Initially we staged houses for real estate agents and investors. Through these associations, we began staging industry events, including ribbon cutting ceremonies, company holiday parties, and broker's luncheons.
This access afforded insights and opportunities to expand into the renovation arena. Timing also played a key role. The Washington metro area was undergoing explosive growth in the rehab housing market. Eager to gain experience, we leveraged relationships, assembled a crew and did home improvement projects for friends. Our friends referred us to their friends- they paid it forward.
By 2015, Boutiqae Group was changing the face of the local construction community. Known for our proclivity to pink, we were gaining visibility and creating a more inclusive building culture. To meet our growing demand, we increased capacity and began providing full-scale residential and commercial services for customers.
In 2018, Fredi transitioned to real estate investing and moved on to start her own venture.
Almost ten years later, Boutiqae Group continues to repeat history.
We earn the right to referrals by providing quality work and personalized service. We're still pushing past our limits, taking on new challenges and advancing creative ideas.
We take pride in the fact that we are able to convert our clients to Ambassadors who promote us to their friends.
